Had our Baby Shower event here and we had an amazing experience. You will be blown away by the attention to detail of the rooms when they're set-up, and the team can't do enough for you on the day. Food was also the best I've ever experienced at a function before. Had so many comments about how good the venue is and how good the day went.
Had my baby girl christening here. Was unreal the room was beautiful. Everything on the day was amazing so much food didn’t have to worry about anything. The little touch’s like Josie christening on the door outside was amazing .. & they even let use bring are own entertainment princess and animals in thanks so much
Went to the Afternoon Tea with Whitney Houston Tribute, the singer was amazing & the atmosphere was great.
Afternoon tea was good considering the price of the ticket.
Several guests were saying about the bar service being quite slow and I agree.
I ordered table service for drinks and they never arrived?
Had to go bar in the end!
2 pints of blackcurrant & soda cost over £10-WOW!!!!!!!!!!
Recently attended for the “Afternoon Tea with Cilla” event.
Entertainment was lovely. Although sound quality was really bad sounded like she was down a well and the sound system needs a major upgrade.
The venue itself is very aesthetically pleasing, toilets were clean, but that’s where the good qualities ended.
The food was REALLY terrible. Especially considering I had outlined my preferences as per the email for dietary requirements earlier in the week, and once again upon arrival. A selection of meat/fish sandwiches arrived. It took for me to tell the gentleman who was serving the tables before anybody considered my vegetarian request. What then arrived was a single sloppy egg mayonnaise sandwich and a dry croissant with humous inside? Alongside it were some very cheap cupcakes that clearly came from a multipack.
We were also presented with Prosecco on arrival despite outlining we are both TTotal (on the email and on arrival). Tea and Coffee was not served at all during the time that we were there.
At the interval my guest and I decided to leave as we were so disappointed and hungry. We initially took the wrong exit into the Cunard room where a table presenting Asda smart price packets of croissants, scones and other packets of pre made cheap cakes etc were laying in a state of disarray.
Needless to say I feel I wasted £55 on the Cilla afternoon tea expecting a delicious afternoon tea only to be served cheap pre made packet food that had been poorly put together.
We were then stuck in the building asking various members of staff how to leave because the main door was locked.
All in all an extremely disappointing experience. It was my first visit to The Bentley and most definitely my last.
I would not recommend anybody to attend this venue. I have friends coming to view The Bentley as a potential wedding venue, I will definitely be advising them to look elsewhere.
I’ve been in touch with the venue who have refunded my tickets and have emailed saying how disappointed they are that I have left them a negative review. I have responded explaining that despite refunding and offering me a free visit some time, my experience still stands and deserves to be highlighted.
I hope they seriously review the quality of what they are providing people.
Great afternoon tea with Freddie Mercury tribute. Lovely venue. Lovely afternoon tea. Tea and coffee refilled during afternoon tea. Great show. Will book again
A great place. Superb entertainment . The meal was delicious and there was a good plate. Super value. A glass of presecco whe you arrive. Staff really friendly and work hard to meet your needs. Parking isn't too great though. Views out the window to the mersy are amazing. Ryan and Jay give a great welcome. Professional team . Young and more mature folk will enjoy a night out here.
Rude staff - hell, we had to ask to be served after 15 min wait - another couple went 20 minutes . No, you can't see sweeping views of the estuary-the Cunard and Liver buildings take care of that . Retraining req here -I'm not posh-but the attitudes need changing !
Absolutely stunning venue! I was shooting a wedding there recently and I loved the roof top photos as well as the venues inside! Sharmy from the staff was really polite and lovely!
Went to the ABBA tribute act night. Overall was good. Disappointed that the room wasn't ready in time for when the doors opened, waited around 20 minutes to be seated. Atmosphere was good. Also Disappointed with the situation with food. Was advertised as a buffet however on arrival was told a platter would be brought to the table. After some time passed, all of the larger table groups got fed first, which wouldn't have been an issue if the food came out promptly. By time we received our food, not only was the ABBA act on stage and preforming, but mostly all other tables were already finished and up and dancing, which made it not only awkward for us, but felt we were missing the experience. 9 days before the event I was asked to communicate any dietary requirements, to which I expressed one person in my group was a vegetarian, when the food came, this was not taken into account- they were handed a chicken Curry and the platter to share was mostly made of items containing meat. We expressed this to be told by the waiter "we wasn't told." I explained to them and offered to show them the email. In all fairess they did return with a veggie curry, however the platter still wasn't suitable for them- not very fair especially when paying the same amount for a buffet. The ABBA act itself was great, really enjoyable and good performers. Drinks were pricey so be prepared. Overall good but would only return if they sort the food situation out.
We had bottomless brunch here, what a fabulous day we had thank you so much to lynsey you really looked after us xx until next time x
